Growing up the youngest of 8 siblings in small-town Roseau, MN, DyAnna fostered an intense love for and value of community – which led her to pursue her undergraduate education at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She started organizing as a student and soon moved into community spheres through her work as an advocate at a local domestic violence agency (Safe Haven), union-member (AFSCME Council 5), and Campaign Manager for Rep. Liz Olson.
DyAnna joined TakeAction in April 2020 as the Greater Minnesota Organizer with a vision to build people power, tell a new story about rural Minnesota, and change what is politically possible across our state.
