LyLy Vang-Yang joined Take Action Minnesota in 2018. She previously served as a Policy Associate for Mayor Carter in Saint Paul, where she worked on implementing a city wide $15/hour minimum wage. She worked as an Organizer on Mayor Carter’s mayoral campaign and developed the campaign’s fellowship program. LyLy started her organizing career in higher education, working with students of color to uplift a multitude of equity issues at their community colleges. She’s also proud to have experience as a care provider – as a nanny and abortion doula. When she’s not working, you can find LyLy eating her way through Saint Paul (Bún bò Huế, fawm kauv, and spinach and artichoke dip are her favorites to try at any restaurant).
