Magdalena Kaluza joined TakeAction Minnesota in January 2020. Magdalena was raised between Guatemala and the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis by two artists/activists, and has disrupted oppressive narratives and facilitated participatory processes since high school. They strive to practice the world we want to live in on an interpersonal level as we work for larger social transformation.
Previously, they’ve worked in youth programming, leadership development, and political education at Youth Farm, Gardening Matters, Cycles for Change, and the Central Area Neighborhood Development Organization.
They graduated from Stanford University in 2013 with a BA in Urban Studies and a minor in Chinese. They’re currently practicing as a biodynamic craniosacral therapy student, seeking certification through the school Body Intelligence. Magdalena loves to move their body, share food, be with family, and make art.
