Patrick Burke joined TakeAction Minnesota in 2018. He comes to TakeAction Minnesota from the Saint Paul Federation of Educators (SPFE), where he worked with educators and parents fighting for fully funded, racially equitable public schools. As SPFE’s Communications Organizer, he worked to elevate educators’ voices in the lead up to the union’s 2017 strike vote. He also organized Educational Assistants with SPFE to win a $15 minimum wage and worked with educators and parents to elect four pro-public school Board of Education members in St. Paul as part of the Caucus for Change movement in 2015.
As the Digital Strategist, Patrick works with to advance progressive politics in Minnesota through narrative change and storytelling by integrating digital activism with on-the-ground campaigns.
A transplant to Minnesota, Patrick grew up in Texas. He moved to Minnesota to attend Carleton College where he earned a B.A. in Political Science.
