TakeAction Minnesota is a Minnesota nonprofit corporation and is a tax-exempt organization described in Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its program activities include community organizing and coalition-building, issue campaigns, referenda, direct lobbying and candidate endorsements.
TakeAction Political Fund is a Minnesota independent-expenditure-only political committee registered with the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board. It advocates for the election of candidates in Minnesota who champion TakeAction’s priorities.
TakeAction Minnesota Education Fund is separately incorporated in Minnesota and is a 501(c)(3) organization. Its program activities include community organizing, policy research and development, public education and civic engagement. Its work is entirely nonpartisan, and it does not engage in lobbying.
Each of these organizations is separately governed by its own board of directors and files its own tax return. We strictly adhere to the boundaries and limitations of each organizations' tax status.
