St. Paul Virtual Town Hall: Reopening Our Schools & Communities

July 16, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

COVID-19 and the recent killing of George Floyd have made it more clear than ever that as a city, we must address the systemic inequities faced by our students here in St. Paul. As we prepare to have students return to school this fall, we have an opportunity to create public schools that center our students, educators and community members as decision-makers. We can reimagine education that meets the needs of every single child.

This Town Hall and Listening Session will spotlight parents and educators as speakers and feature break out sessions to work on reimagining the safe and equitable reopening of our schools and community at large. We’ll be joined by Director Chauntyll Allen, Council members Mitra Jalali and Nelsie Yang and candidate for Senate District 64 Erin Murphy.

This event is hosted by the Saint Paul Federation of Educators and TakeAction Minnesota. Find more information on Facebook and register here.
