TakeAction Minnesota Announces Duluth City Council Endorsements

Duluth, Minn.—Ahead of the DFL convention on Saturday, June 15, TakeAction Minnesota announced its endorsements for Duluth City Council, including Gary Anderson (District 1), Ashley Grimm (District 5), and Mike Mayou (At-Large).
TakeAction Minnesota members endorsed these candidates because of their vision and commitment to a more equitable and thriving Duluth. Our endorsements are backed by a powerful, grassroots elections effort with a track record of helping to elect transformative leaders.
“TakeAction Minnesota is committed to a people-centered politics that builds transformative relationships between communities and elected officials—and the candidates we endorse are, too,” said Elianne Farhat, executive director of TakeAction Minnesota. “Gary Anderson is an organizer with a track record of success leading with neighbors and fighting for economic justice for all Duluthians. Ashley Grimm is a community-first leader committed to building transformative relationships with her constituents. She is ready to knock on every door in her district, and our members are ready to do the same. Mike Mayou has a fresh voice and vision for Duluth, focused on issues including affordable housing and equity. We are energized by his dedication to changing politics-as-usual and bringing constituents along in decision-making.

TakeAction Minnesota member leaders participated in and voted on endorsements, which were then ratified by our board of directors.
