Duluth, Minn.—Tuesday, August 13 was Primary Election Day for municipal races across Minnesota. TakeAction Minnesota members endorsed Mike Mayou for Duluth City Council At-Large for his vision and commitment to a bright and sustainable future for all of Duluth. On Tuesday evening, progressive voters narrowed the field to four candidates—advancing Mayou along with Arik Forsman, Noah Hobbs, and Derek Medved. On November 5, voters will elect two candidates for Duluth City Council At-Large.
“Mike Mayou is a fresh, visionary leader who believes in people-centered politics,” said Elianne Farhat, executive director of TakeAction Minnesota. “Voters heard his vision for affordable housing, clean air and water, and connected communities—and it resonated. As Duluth continues to grow and evolve, Mike is a leader who will fight to make sure all of us move forward, together. Election Day is November 5 and we’re not slowing down. Our members are ready to keep knocking doors and calling neighbors on behalf of Mike and our other endorsed candidates to build a government that is for us, by us.”
