Metro Rally to #StopLine3

Together, we demand an immediate halt to the construction of the Line 3 tar sands pipeline!

We will be rallying in solidarity with frontline communities, following the Treaty People Gathering, a four-day community action up North.

Join us up north, and then come down to the metro to take further action!

The Line 3 pipeline poses a devastating climate threat to the entire state of Minnesota, and to the whole world. Minnesotans will not remain neutral as Enbridge sinks our economy into a dying industry, poisons our waterways, violates treaties, and threatens the futures of children worldwide. We need a Just Transition to a healthier economy and climate NOW. Stopping this pipeline is a critical step in Just Transition.

While our relatives in Northern Minnesota are feeling the most direct impacts of this pipeline right now – an influx of out-of-state workers, ravaged forests, and violated treaties – this pipeline affects ALL of us. Those of us in the Twin Cities and southern parts of the state need to act URGENTLY.

Please wear a mask and come prepared to practice social distancing. Do not come if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks.

We ask that you wear blue and green clothing to the rally!

NOTE: We will gather at Gold Metal Park. There is metered parking available alongside the park. The park has paved sidewalks. We will then march to Amy Klobuchar’s office on Washington Avenue, 2.5 blocks away.
