TakeAction Minnesota Joins UnRestrict Campaign for Reproductive Freedom

St. Paul, Minn.—TakeAction Minnesota is excited to announce its partnership with UnRestrict Minnesota. The UnRestrict Minneosta campaign launched in May to educate and inform Minnesotans about the harmful and unscientific laws limiting access to abortion care. TakeAction Minnesota is one of 15 community partners of the growing campaign, and broader movement for reproductive freedom.
TakeAction Minnesota released the following statement:
“We believe in a Minnesota where everyone is able to live free, joyful lives, and no one is held back because of their gender,” said Executive Director Elianne Farhat. “Restrictions such as unnecessary mandates and parental notification laws are intended to erode the constitutional right to safe, legal abortion—limiting access for low-income and rural people the most. It’s wrong. These laws intentionally reinforce a culture of stigma and shame—silencing us while they undermine our ability to make decisions about our bodies, families, and lives.
We are joining the UnRestrict Minnesota campaign because reproductive rights are inextricably linked to racial, gender, economic, and climate justice. We envision a state where all of us have the freedom to make decisions about our bodies and families, no exception, and every family has what it needs to thrive.”
